An original full-size WW2 issue 1939–45 Star Medal, awarded to personnel who completed operational service overseas between 3 September 1939 and 8 May 1945 (2 Sept 1945 in Far East).This bronze campaign star was the first of the Second World War stars to be instituted and was awarded for operational service in the Army, Navy, and Air Force during the conflict.
