A first world war casualty medal pair awarded to Second Lieutenant Alan James Derrick, 7th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who was sadly killed in action on 15/11/1916 and is remembered at Thiepval Memorial. British War Medal named to 2. Lieut. A.J. Derrick. WW1 Victory Medal named to 2. Lieut. A.J. Derrick. Killed in Action – 15th November 1916 Alan James Derrick was born in 1889 in Nottingham. In October 1915 he joined the Inns of Court OTC as a Private (No. 6817) and was commissioned into the Northumberland Fusiliers as a 2nd Lieutenant on 18/7/1916. The medals are in good condition. Comes with research.
